BALLISTIC NECK PROTECTION (GROGET) WITH BALLISTIC PACKAGES CLASS 1 (CARTOONS)

Anti-shatter protection module for the neck, upper back (from the upper edge of the armor plate) and trapezium. This gorget is able to protect you from bullets, projectile fragments, grenades, vogs, and secondary striking elements (glass, concrete, stones, etc.).

The neck protection module consists of two parts:

Back and trapeze protection section joined by two standing flaps covering the sides and back of the neck. The vertical petals overlap to avoid an unprotected area of ​​the neck, and their shape and location make the gorget convenient for working in a lying position. This module has 2 flaps on each side on the shoulders that your plate carrier attaches to.(we advise you to remove the shoulder dampers of the plate carrier before installing it on the neck protection module, for greater convenience and reliability of fastening)

The front section is a grommet that attaches to the petals with velcro and to the molly interface on the chest of your plate carrier. Thus, you can always remove the front part, putting the protection in the derived state. If necessary, the front part can be quickly brought into full protection mode, and thanks to Velcro, it can be adjusted to your neck girth.

The raw material from which ballistic anti-fragment protection is made is actually unique. This is high molecular polyethylene (NVMPE - for convenience), manufactured by DYNEEMA (USA). This material consists of many soldered layers of very thin and incredibly strong polymer threads, where each subsequent layer is superimposed perpendicular to the previous one. The material is very light, buoyant, and does not lose its ballistic properties upon short-term wetting*, unlike Kevlar (aramid/paraamid). But be careful - if there is a large amount of moisture between the layers of NVMPE, then hitting it can cause water hammer. That is why our packages are securely sealed in waterproof covers.

Soft ballistic package 1 class DSTU 8782:2018 (in the American system NIJ 0101.06 IIIA) has 8 layers of НВМПЕ Dyneema and an anti-obstructive injury damper made of non-ballistic Kevlar (thickness of the damper is 8 mm). It will protect you from PM 9x18mm and Luger 9x19mm pistol bullets.

According to the STANAG 2920 protocol v50 = 580 m/sec (this protocol reflects the protection against fragments by measuring the penetration rate of ballistic material when fired with a 1.1 gram steel cylinder at a speed of 450 to 800 m/sec).
